Ruffley Welcomes Home RAF Regiment as Nation Celebrates Armed Forces Day.

Thursday, 27 June, 2013

At 11am, on Saturday 29th June, David Ruffley MP will accompany the Bury St Edmunds civic party at the RAF Regiment 15 Sqn’s Homecoming Parade and Afghanistan Campaign medal ceremony.

The march past will begin at Abbey Gardens and coincides with the country’s Armed Forces Day celebrations which aim to raise public awareness of the contribution made to our country by Her Majesty's Armed.

David said: “I am fortunate enough to represent two Armed Forces establishments in my constituency – RAF Honington and Wattisham. It is an honour to be involved in 15 Sqn’s Homecoming Parade. As the Armed Forces Covenant states, the whole nation has a moral obligation to the members of Her Majesty's Armed Forces, past and present. Armed Forces Day gives Suffolk an excellent opportunity to express our commitment to upholding this Covenant as well as demonstrate the respect and support we all reserve for our servicemen and women.”
