Ruffley to be Quizzed by Local Pupils on “Shape the Future”

Tuesday, 18 June, 2013

David Ruffley MP has been invited to County Upper School at 10am on Friday 21st June, to discuss global poverty. Earlier in the year, David wrote to schools in Bury St Edmunds inviting them to enter The Shape the Future competition.

Shape the Future gives young people the chance to submit their own proposals for post-2015 global poverty reduction directly to the Department for International Development. By submitting their ideas on the new global strategy for development, proposals from winning schools will contribute to the new United Nations Development Goals (UNDGs) in 2015.

David said: “Shape the Future is a great way to educate pupils about development issues, global poverty and the UK’s policy. It gives the new generation the opportunity to voice their opinions and shape the UK’s future development policy. I want to hear what the pupils of County Upper School think.”

Press photographers welcome.
