Friday, 23 March, 2012

David Ruffley MP will be visiting three schools - Howard Middle, Howard Primary and Hardwick Middle School - from 9.30am on Friday 23 March.

David Ruffley MP said: 'I will be meeting with head teachers from Bury St Edmunds, a primary and two middle schools, to ensure that the transition to two tier is a smooth as possible.

The overwhelming majority of head teachers in the town are committed to a move to two tier as the best way of ensuring that Suffolk's school system improves.

There have been several middle and primary schools applying for Academy Status in an attempt to pre-empt the transition to two tier.'
