David Ruffley MP took his concerns about the threat of council charges for Jubilee street parties to Eric Pickles, Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, in the House of Commons on Monday 12 March 2012.

David Ruffley MP said: 'I am concerned that Suffolk County Council Officers are giving incorrect advice about street parties to the public. I took this issue directly to the Minister responsible to make sure that there is absolute clarity, and so that my constituents can start planning their Diamond Jubilee celebrations.'
